Dr. Usha P Rao completed her MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, Karnataka University, Dharwad, 1995. She later obtained her MD from Mysore Medical College, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, 2001. She completed her completed Post-Doctoral (DM) residency in Cardiology, Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital, Sion, Mumbai University, 2008.

She has 10+ years of experience in the field of Cardiology. She had worked in various medical institution in Southern India. She is also been awarded by FESC - Fellow of European Society of Cardiology, in 2016.

Dr. Usha Rao has wide experience in managing patient in OPD, admission and in ICCU (Intensive Coronary Care Unit). Her area of expertise cover Pre-procedure and post procedure patient care. She had performed non-invasive procedures like 2D Echo and Doppler Study (adult and pediatric), Exercise and Echo Stress Tests, HUT test, Holter Study, Trans-Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE), and Invasive Procedures like Diagnostic Coronary angiograms, Peripheral Angiograms, Renal Angiograms, Cardiac Catheterizations, Therapeutic Primary Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (Primary PTCAs), Elective PTCAs- both Simple and Complex, Pacemaker Implantation - Temporary and Permanent and Percutaneous Transluminal Mitral Valvuloplasty’s (PTMC).

Dr. Usha had presented papers of Cardiac interest in CSI conferences from 2005-2008. She had attended various camps as part of Community Cardiology Service in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. She was also actively involved in conducting Cardio Diabetes conference in Mangalore and conducting ECG learning course (basic and advanced) in 2012 & 2013 and also, she had participated in various medical Cardiology Conferences.

Dr. Usha’s area of interest are performing 2D Echoes of Complex Congenital Heart Diseases - both adult and pediatric, performing 3D Echoes, Primary PTCAs, Cardiac Nehabilitation, Cardiac Nutrition and Preventive Cardiology.
